Nonprofit support

In keeping with Virginia Mason Franciscan Health’s mission of building healthier communities, Franciscan Foundation occasionally assists new nonprofits, whose work aligns with our mission, in getting their organizations up and running. Depending on the needs of the organization, we can provide fiscal sponsorship, fundraising assistance and accounting services free of charge. Current and past organizations that have benefited from our support include the NW Furniture Bank, Rescue Mission, Hilltop Artists, Sound Outreach, Catherine Place, and Step by Step.

Community grants

The Franciscan Foundation will no longer accept requests for funding event sponsorships or mission support. The Foundation has shifted its funding to supporting the strategic priorities and needs of each of the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health hospital sites, Hospice and Palliative Care Program and outpatient clinics throughout Puget Sound. To request sponsorship for an event or mission support, please complete an online request form. Upon review of the request, someone from either Virginia Mason Franciscan Health community relations or the mission offices will be in touch.

Nurturing the healing ministry of the Sisters of St. Francis, the Franciscan Foundation is dedicated to raising funds and supporters for Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in order to create healthier communities and ensure the availability of quality health care for all, regardless of ability to pay.
