As we work to create healthier communities, Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is dedicated to providing access to the best possible health care for every patient. To that end, we’ve joined with other local physicians and health care providers to form an Accountable Care Organization (ACO).

What is an Accountable Care Organization (ACO)?

An ACO is a group of local health care providers and hospitals that work together to provide access to high-quality, coordinated care for Medicare fee-for-service beneficiaries. Our ACO, Rainier Health Network, is the first in the South Puget Sound area and the second in Washington state.
